AAP politician Sanjay Singh’s bail request heard in the Delhi High Court, ED objects

ED had arrested Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in the canceled Delhi Excise Policy case. Before his arrest, a raid was conducted at Sanjay Singh’s residence.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s petition was heard in the Delhi High Court. On behalf of ED, ASG SV Raju said that Sanjay Singh’s petition challenging his arrest in the money laundering case has been opposed. He said that the petition is baseless. No fundamental rights of Sanjay Singh have been violated.

The petition should be dismissed. He said that Chuki Sanjay Singh is an influential man. Therefore, due to fear, Dinesh Arora did not take the name of Sanjay Singh in his earlier statements. But later, he took the name of Sanjay Singh and told about his role.

The picture of Dinesh Arora’s original statement, which was in the ED office, was found with Sanjay Singh. During the raid at Sanjay Singh’s house, a 3-page document was found in his house, which is also included in the arrest memo. Sanjay Singh is directly accused of taking bribe money. A case is registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Sanjay Singh’s party colleague and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, is also included in the list of accused in this liquor policy scam. Currently, he is also in jail due to this case. The former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Excise Minister was first arrested by the CBI on February 26 for his alleged role in the scam.
