Fire breaks out on 3rd floor of hospital, patients rescued

A massive fire broke out in Aastha Hospital located in Baraut area of the district on Monday. Four vehicles of the fire department together brought the fire under control. There has been no loss of life due to the fire.

Baghpat : A massive fire broke out in Aastha Hospital located in Baraut area of the district on Monday. Four vehicles of the fire department together brought the fire under control. There has been no loss of life due to the fire. The negligence of the hospital has come to light in the accident. The District Magistrate has formed a team and given instructions for investigation. Also, answers have been sought from the owner of the hospital on many points. A hospital is run by the name Aastha in Baraut. A fire broke out in the hospital due to unknown reasons at 4.45 am on Monday.

The fire further flared up when spoiled goods caught fire on the third floor of the hospital. Meanwhile, on hearing about the fire, there was panic among the patients and attendants admitted in the hospital. Hospital staff tried to extinguish the fire, but were unsuccessful and the fire department was informed. On receiving information about the fire, four vehicles of the fire department reached the spot and extinguished the fire.

Meanwhile, the patients admitted on the second floor were rescued and shifted to other hospitals, thereby saving lives.
15 days ago, the fire department had given notice to the hospital operator Anil Jain regarding construction of third floor without permission and lack of fire prevention equipment.

Instructions were also given to remove the damaged items from the third floor. But no steps were taken by the hospital management in this regard. To fix the responsibility, District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh has instructed the Health Department and the Fire Department to prepare a report on the entire matter. Fix the responsibility of those who were negligent for the fire. Fire equipment were present in the hospital but there was a lack of people to operate them. Instructions have been given to investigate the entire incident.
