Just after getting big relief from the Supreme Court after a pause on his conviction in the defamation case, Rahul Gandhi seems to be in soup yet again and this time for blowing a flying kiss towards MPs of the BJP. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani pointed out his activity as indecent and inappropriate and labeled him a “misogynist”.
Soon after the former president of the Indian National Congress ended up his speech in favour of no confidence, he dropped a few files. As he bent over to pick them up, a few BJP MPs started laughing at him. Rahul Gandhi blew a kiss in response and walked out.
Now, the members of the BJP have condemned his unparliamentary behaviour, and 21 women members including MP Shobha Karandlaje have filed a complaint against him for allegedly blowing a flying kiss towards Smriti Irani and have demanded a stringent punishment.
“We demand stringent action against such behaviour by the member, which has not only insulted the dignity of the women members in the House, but also brought disrepute and lowered the dignity of this House,” the letter read.

“We have never seen such a thing in Parliament. He either winks in the House or indulges in indecent behaviour. We strongly condemn this. We submitted a letter to the Speaker, asking him to find the footage (of the flying kiss) and take action. All limits have been crossed today,” Shobha Karandlaje.
This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has been questioned for behaving inappropriately. His behaviour was condemned when he winked just after his speech a few years back. A debate was also raised when he hugged PM Modi on his seat. “Muhabbat ki dukan khol raha hoon”, he usually says. Well, his “muhabbat ki dukan” doesn’t look like helping him anyway if this is his way to spread “muhabbat”.
