PIB Fact Check has dismissed a viral claim circulating on Telegram and various social media platforms that purportedly shows a leaked question paper for the upcoming NEET-UG 2026 re-examination.
The government’s official fact-verification unit labelled the claim as entirely false and advised aspirants to disregard unverified content.
The clarification comes just days before the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam scheduled for June 21.
Authorities issued the warning to prevent misinformation from misleading candidates and creating unnecessary anxiety ahead of the crucial examination.
PIB Fact Check shared the advisory through its official X account and urged students to depend solely on authorised sources for examination-related information.
Officials stressed that the circulated material does not represent any genuine examination paper.

The re-examination follows the cancellation of the original NEET-UG test conducted on May 3.
Authorities annulled that examination after allegations of paper leaks and irregularities surfaced.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) subsequently launched an inquiry into the matter.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also repeatedly rejected similar rumours regarding alleged leaks linked to the re-examination.
According to the agency, such claims form part of fraudulent schemes operated by cheating networks seeking to exploit the concerns and uncertainty of students.
Officials warned that these groups often spread fabricated content online to mislead candidates and gain financial or other advantages. They emphasised that students should remain vigilant and avoid engaging with suspicious messages, documents or claims circulating on digital platforms.
The NTA advised candidates to verify all examination-related announcements through the official NEET portal.
Authorities reiterated that only information published on authorised channels should be considered authentic.
Officials urged aspirants to remain focused on their preparations and avoid distractions caused by misinformation campaigns. They reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent and secure examination process for all candidates.
