A video circulating on the YouTube channel ‘RazaTechnologyTips’ has falsely claimed that the central government is offering monthly financial aid ranging from ₹5000 to ₹9000 to all unemployed citizens under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Unemployment Allowance Scheme 2025’.
The video suggests that individuals can easily apply for this alleged scheme and start receiving benefits.
However, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has categorically refuted this claim through its #PIBFactCheck. It confirmed that no such scheme exists under the central government.
The PIB labelled the viral video as fake and advised people not to believe such misinformation.
The government has clarified that there is no scheme named ‘Pradhan Mantri Unemployment Allowance Scheme’ currently in operation.
The PIB further urged citizens to verify any claims regarding government schemes through official sources to avoid falling prey to fake content.
Misinformation about government schemes frequently circulates on social media platforms, leading to public confusion and potential fraud.
The PIB regularly issues fact checks to counter these misleading posts and videos.
Authorities have encouraged the public to rely on trusted platforms such as https://myscheme.gov.in for accurate and up-to-date information on welfare and support schemes.
This portal provides a centralised view of all genuine government benefits and services.
The PIB reiterated the importance of critical thinking and fact-checking before acting on any claims made in unofficial digital content, especially when they concern financial aid or government subsidies.
