Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has reassured fans that he is safe in Dubai and continuing with his professional commitments.
The singer, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, shared an update on Instagram, posting a video from his studio. In the caption, he informed followers that he was safe in Dubai and working. The update comes at a time of heightened regional instability and security concerns.
On Monday, Israeli warplanes carried out intensive airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs, hours after rockets were reportedly fired from Lebanese territory toward Israel, according to local television channel al-Jadeed.
The strikes targeted Dahieh, considered a Hezbollah stronghold in the Lebanese capital.
Residents fled the area amid fears of further escalation, while ambulances rushed to evacuate casualties. No official toll was immediately available, according to reports.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah group stated that it had launched rockets and drones toward Israel in retaliation for the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in joint Israeli-US strikes on Iran.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates advised Iran to act responsibly and engage its neighbouring countries with reason before further isolation.
Anwar Gargash, senior diplomatic adviser to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said Iran’s attack against Gulf states had missed its target and further isolated Tehran.
Abu Dhabi also reported that its air defences intercepted Iranian missiles and drones over UAE territory, with debris injuring two people in Dubai.
Earlier this year, in February, Honey Singh had similarly updated fans about his safety while in Mexico amid reports of cartel violence. At the time, he shared that he was safe in Mexico and flying back home, thanking fans for their concern.
His latest message from Dubai appears aimed at reassuring followers as geopolitical tensions continue to unfold in the region.
