On World Bicycle Day, actor Vikrant Massey underlined the positive impact of cycling on both personal well-being and environmental conservation.
In an interview, Vikrant Massey described cycling as a practical solution to rising pollution levels and lifestyle-related health issues.
Massey said that choosing a bicycle over motorised transport can help reduce pollution and carbon emissions. He also noted that regular cycling supports physical fitness and aligns with efforts to create a cleaner and healthier society.
According to him, government-backed initiatives are also encouraging citizens to embrace cycling.
The actor expressed optimism that the younger generation would take an active role in popularising cycling.
Referring to participants at the event, Vikrant Massey mentioned a 20-month-old child who was already learning to pedal, calling it a remarkable example of early enthusiasm for fitness. He said such participation demonstrates how cycling can become an enjoyable and beneficial habit from a young age while promoting long-term health awareness.
Massey joined the 77th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle programme organised to mark World Bicycle Day. The event took place in the presence of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and focused on encouraging active lifestyles across the country.
The campaign also featured boxer Nupur Sheoran and actor-model Ragini Dwivedi, who participated in activities promoting fitness and public health.
On the film front, Massey will likely portray spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the forthcoming drama ‘White’. Montoo Bassi is directing the project, with support from multiple production houses.
The actor recently met Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and shared his appreciation for being entrusted with the responsibility of depicting the spiritual leader’s life on screen.
Apart from ‘White’, Massey is also working on upcoming projects, including ‘Yaar Jigri’ and ‘Talaakhon Mein Ek’.
