The audience’s response had been promising, and there was a lot of anticipation for its August release. The theatrical release date has now been moved to December 1, 2023, although the director just revealed that post-production will take some more time. Oddly enough, Sam Bahadur by Meghna Gulzar and Ronnie Screwvala, starring Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is already scheduled to hit theaters on the same day.

In March of this year, they made an official statement. Even though there have been rumors that Sam Bahadur may choose a different date. However, Ronnie Screwvala shot down all of the rumors. “We have set the release date for Sam Manekshaw months in advance, and we plan to arrive on December 1st, come what may. We are a movie about one of the greatest patriots who ever lived, and we hope audiences will fully support us. Content is effective; it’s no longer only about Friday debuts; audiences are knowledgeable and make informed decisions, explained Screwvala.
