Shah Rukh Khan at the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai special screening: “I Feel Proud As I Launched a Young Son”

On Sunday night in Mumbai, Karan Johar hosted a special screening of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for the audience in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary. But when Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Karan Johar showed up to the theater to discuss the making of the movie, the fans were pleasantly delighted. Shah Rukh spoke on the occasion about the significance of the movie in their lives as well as the friendship they have with Karan Johar. The actor, who this year has given audiences the two huge blockbusters Jawan and Pathaan, stated, “We make pictures; some get forgotten in time; others do extremely well at that time; and some just don’t do well at all.

Shah Rukh Khan continued, “Many think Karan is my friend. But it was his father, Yash Johar, who was my friend. To me, this film was important because Karan at that time was 23–24 years old, and I have a son now, Aryan, who is that old. Now when I look back upon it, I feel very happy and very proud as I launched a young son because I was a little more established than Karan was at that time.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji put their best fashion foot forward when they attended the screening, despite the fact that actress Kajol skipped the occasion. Rani chose a lovely white and black saree, while Shah Rukh Khan kept things simple with a black jacket and pants.

On this special occasion, Dharma Production’s Instagram page posted a photo of the trio. “Bohot kuch hota hai seeing them all in one frame,” the caption stated. After seeing them all together in one frame, a lot happens. Today, I’m missing our Anjali the most. For #25YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai, the celebration of love and friendship simply became bigger and greater.

Along with Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar spoke to the crowd on this momentous occasion. He thanked the cast for making time to attend the screening and stated, “This film is very precious to me because it was my first project. That’s how my journey got started. As he recalled the advice his father, Yash Johar, had given him, Karan stated, “My father, I remember telling me that yeh agar average bhi jayega na toh samajh le tera career hain (My father, I remember telling me that if the film fares even average, it will mean your career will take off).” But I’m delighted I had a film, and it went well.
