Kareena revealed a sneak peek at her upcoming character on Sunday by posting a tonne of new images on her Instagram account. She could be seen gazing out of a glass window in one photo and waiting by the table in another with a serious expression. She was pictured on the set with fog all over it as well.

The actor shared his experiences as Jas Bhamra in a blog post. She said, “Being an avid fan of the detective series genre, I have been yearning for the previous 23 years to portray the role of Jas. I was dying to be that investigative woman after seeing everything from Kate Winslet in Mare of Easttown to Agatha Christie in Hercule Poirot to Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect. I began reading a 25-page summary that Hansal and Ekta sent me at one in the morning, and I realized I had finally found the woman I wanted to be.”

A slightly unconventional film

Kareena went on to discuss her work on the “unconventional film” alongside producer Ekta Kapoor and director Hansal Mehta. “Ekta, Hansal, and I embarked on this journey to make a film that is a little out of the ordinary, but a film that is with heart, a little smile, and, oh my god, lots of tears,” the writer said. As an actor and first-time producer, I couldn’t be more anxious and excited as this picture embarks on its voyage in the world of films. It was shown at the British Picture Institute last night. I feel so weird writing that (emoji of a laughing face)… though I feel absolutely awesome.

“So giving you all a glimpse of this gem we made… into the world of Jas Bhamra,” the actor continued. It has been a dream to follow Jas, a great and brave woman whose sadness is beyond measure but stronger than she realizes. I sincerely hope that Jas hasn’t finished her journey yet.”
Kareena last appeared in Jaane Jaan, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, which debuted on Netflix on September 21.
