Is it even pure love if it doesn’t conceal a heartbreaking truth from everyone? On Monday, the makers of the highly anticipated Satyaprem Ki Katha released the teaser for the musical love drama. The film, which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles, will be released on June 29.
The two-and-a-half-minute video provides a glimpse into the Gujarati world of Kartik’s Satyaprem. A guy desperate for love, and Kiara’s Katha, a girl already in a relationship. They meet, get along, share jokes, and make promises—all before the two are revealed to tie the knot. But not everything is well, as Satyaprem recognizes that even for a guy who claims he was born only to love, he must give it his all and go against the odds when he discovers the “truth.” Will they be able to pass?
Satyaprem Ki Katha is helmed by Sameer Vidwans and bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala and Namah Pictures. Ahead of the release of the film’s trailer, the makers unveiled the first song from the movie on May 27. Titled “Naseeb Se”, the song received a positive response from fans and has already garnered over 29 million views on YouTube.

Kartik had been keeping a low profile during the film shoot. He had shared a note after the film wrapped in which he talked about his character, Sattu. He wrote, “Sattu. A special film and a special character come to an end! This journey of playing Satya Prem through #Satya Prem Ki Katha has been heartbreaking and a roller coaster ride of emotions. “Satya Prem will always be my favorite, strongest, and bravest character, and I hope you’ll connect with him too, as I believe all of us have a Sattu in us.” He said that he will always cherish and feel proud of playing Sattu.
