Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani collects 28 crores
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and directed by Karan Johar, had a respectable opening weekend with a very positive trend over the course of three days. After a modest start of Rs 10.50 crore, the movie saw a significant increase on Saturday with a take of Rs 15.50 crore, and the trend continued on Sunday with a take of Rs 18.50 crore. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has a three-day total of Rs 44.50 crore, and everyone is now looking forward to the critical Monday test.
The metro areas have seen the strongest results for the movie, particularly in the three major multiplex chains, which have made up 63 percent of the overall revenue. It is performing like a legitimate urban film, which should ensure that the movie has a lengthy life, especially given the increase in commerce on Saturday and Sunday. In India, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis have made a total of Rs 28.2 crore during the film’s three-day run. Other cinema chains like MovieMax and Rajhans, with weekend collections of Rs 82 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively, were also quite successful. Corporate reservations helped boost the opening weekend collections, but even without them, the trend has been encouraging.
Friday: Rs 10.50 crore
Saturday: Rs 15.50 crore
Sunday: Rs 18.50 crore (Estimates)
Total: Rs 44.50 crore*
The target audience is talking favorably about the movie, and the weekend pattern does suggest a stronghold for the movie on Monday. With Karan Johar in charge, there are more expenses involved, and there are also greater than-average box office expectations. The film’s performance on Monday will determine whether it receives the success label (Average and above), as it needs to do anything north of Rs 120 crore.

The film managed to push itself by 17% on Sunday, which is clearly a favorable sign as far as trends are concerned. There was a chance for the film to have a muted growth on Sunday as the Saturday business benefited from the Muharram Holiday as well. For this film , a Monday in the North of Rs 6 crore will represent a small success and let the producers breathe easier because a strong Monday always predicts high weekday trending.
