‘Public Is God To Me’: Pawan Singh Breaks Silence On Wife’s Explosive Allegations

As Bihar gears up for its assembly elections, the state’s political scene is undergoing significant changes.

While the NDA grapples with challenges from the opposition, actor-turned-politician Pawan Singh, who recently returned to the NDA, has found himself entangled in a fresh controversy.

The issue erupted after dramatic scenes unfolded at his residence.

His wife, Jyoti Singh, went live on Instagram, accusing him of harassment and infidelity.

In response to these allegations, Pawan Singh has now issued a public clarification.

On Monday, he posted a lengthy statement in Hindi on Instagram addressing the accusations.

He alleged that his wife was attempting to exploit the situation for political gain.

“I know only one thing in my life, that the public is God for me. Will I hurt the sentiments of all of you, because of whom I have reached this far? Jyoti Singh ji. Is it not true that when you came to my society yesterday morning, I respectfully invited you to my house and we talked for about 1:30 hours?” he wrote.

Singh further claimed that his wife had been pressuring him to support her in contesting the upcoming election, something he said was beyond his authority.

“Your only insistence is to get me to contest the elections somehow, which is beyond my capacity,” he further asserted.

Pawan Singh also clarified reports about a police presence at his home, stating, “A misconception was spread in the society that I called the police, whereas the truth is that the police were present there since morning so that whatever happens, happens in their presence, and nothing untoward happens anywhere by the people who came with you or by anyone else.”

Prior to this controversy, Pawan Singh met senior BJP leaders in Delhi. He held discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda. He officially rejoined the party last week.

The Bihar Assembly election will be for the 18th Legislative Assembly, covering all 243 constituencies. Voting will take place in two phases: the first on 6 November 2025 for 121 seats, and the second on 11 November 2025 for the remaining 122 seats.
