Preity Zinta, co-owner of Punjab Kings, expressed great excitement after her side defeated the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2026. The Mumbai Indians lost Match 24, which took place at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Preity Zinta shared her reaction on Instagram, appreciating the team’s composed performance and highlighting the efforts of Prabhsimran Singh and Arshdeep Singh. She also recognised the leadership of captain Shreyas Iyer and coach Ricky Ponting.

Key Moments in Punjab Kings’ Victory
Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer once again delivered strong performances, building on their earlier form to guide Punjab Kings to victory. Prabhsimran remained unbeaten on 80 off 39 balls, while Iyer scored 66 off 35 deliveries.
Punjab Kings successfully chased a target of 196, finishing at 198/3 in 16.3 overs after restricting Mumbai Indians to 195/6, despite a remarkable unbeaten 112 by Quinton de Kock and a 50 from Naman Dhir.
Prabhsimran registered his second half-century of the season, while Iyer extended his strong run by scoring a third consecutive fifty in the tournament.
Their 139-run partnership for the third wicket played a decisive role in securing the win with 21 balls remaining.
With this victory, Punjab Kings notched up their fourth win in five matches and remained unbeaten, strengthening their position and building momentum for the rest of the competition.
