Pankaj Tripathi, who had previously received his first National Award for the film “Newton” in 2017, shared his joy on Saturday, posting a series of photos from the prestigious event. The first image captured him receiving his award from President Droupadi Murmu, with his wife Mridula Tripathi and daughter Aashi Tripathi sitting beside him. The photo series concluded with a heartwarming family selfie. In the caption, Pankaj Tripathi borrowed lines from poet Ramdarash Mishra and wrote in Hindi, expressing his gratitude.
On his remarkable win, Pankaj Tripathi conveyed his happiness and humility to news agency PTI, emphasizing the significance of perseverance and honesty in one’s work. He also marked the completion of 20 years in Mumbai and expressed his gratitude towards the viewers, directors, especially Laxman Utekar (the director of “Mimi”), and the jury for selecting him for the award.

He recounted how people approached him at the awards ceremony and shared that his win felt like a personal achievement for them, which touched him deeply. He also dedicated this award to his late father, who passed away in August.
