Jaume Collet-Serra To Direct Emily Blunt’s Next Film

Filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra will direct a new thriller starring actor Emily Blunt.

Jaume Collet-Serra, who most recently helmed the Dwayne Johnson-led antihero film ‘Black Adam’, will direct the Amazon MGM Studios project, which is described as a propulsive action thriller.

Blunt, who starred in ‘Oppenheimer’, will play pioneering female sleuth Kate Warne, a real-life Sherlock Holmes-esque heroine, in the untitled film.

Kate Warne was the Pinkerton agency’s first female detective, paving the door for future female law enforcement officers and permanently changing the way detective work was done.

According to the reports, Blunt will also produce the film but has yet to finalize her deal due to the actor’s strike in the United States. The discussions are anticipated to restart after the guild has reached a new agreement.

Dwayne Johnson, Blunt’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ co-star, will also produce the project with Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia through their business, Seven Bucks Productions.
