Rekha, a legendary beauty of Bollywood, turns 69 on October 10. The actor, who has starred in blockbusters like Khoobsurat, Umrao Jaan, and Silsila, is renowned for both her irresistible appeal and her turbulent life.
The subject of her love life was frequently discussed among her followers and in tabloids. In 1990, she had a brief marriage to businessman Mukesh Agarwal, who committed suicide seven months after their nuptials. Rekha nevertheless remained optimistic about finding love again years later.
In a 2006 interview, Rekha discussed meeting Mr. Right. “I don’t deny anything. I might alter my mind if I discover someone who’s prepared to introduce me to my followers,” Rekha stated. Even the things she would do for her husband were openly stated. “If I had a man, I would just be giving that one person all of my attention. I’ll remove his clothing, personally oversee his diet, make lunch, and deliver it to him.
Rekha was never married or even interested in having children. “I don’t miss having kids. It would be incredibly unfair to my priorities, even if I found the ideal partner to have children with. I won’t be able to concentrate on anything else if I have a baby,” she remarked.
Love and luck for Rekha
Naveen Nishchal, one of her first co-stars, was the object of her first crush. Sadly, he never showed her love in return. Rekha was captivated by her co-star Vinod Mehra during the filming of Elaan (1971), and the two eventually got married, according to a National Herald India story. But Vinod’s mother reportedly forbade her from entering their house since she was opposed to the match.
Actor Kiran Kumar, the son of renowned actor Jeevan, is said to have become close to Rekha. Kiran consented to marry her, but Jeevan objected, and Rekha had to deal with rejection once more.
