“Bride” Scammer Arrested In Kanpur

After duping several men of being their bride using several alias names like Shivangi Sisodia, Pinki Gautam, Dolly Chawla, and Savita Shastri, “Shivangi Sisodia” was finally arrested on the compliant filed by a constable , even he was duped by  “Shivangi” .  Jitendra Gautam, the constable, was her latest victim.

Gautam, a  native of Jhansi stationed at Fazalganj police station, has come in contact with Shivangi through social media platform way back in 2016.They even decided to get married. Prior to their wedding, “Shivangi managed to extract Rs   6.21 lakhs to buy a SUV. Days went by and till date Gautam is yet to  get his money back or the car as was promised.

Everytime Gautam enquired about the money or the car the same reply used to come that it is on the waiting list and assurances of its imminent arrival.  Upon the complaint filed by Gautam the police carried out an investigation and several charges including extortion, breach of trust, fraud, and the act of entering into a second marriage while already being in a marital relationship were filed.

She was finally arrested from her residence located in  Kanpur-Jhansi road near Khushipura. Her permanent residence is located in Ekta Apartment in Ranjit Nagar, Kanpur.
