Facing Harassment At Home, Tanushree Dutta Seeks Peace In Sawan Devotion

Actress Tanushree Dutta has returned to Instagram with a new post following the release of an emotional video in which she alleged persistent harassment and distress at her home.

In the video shared earlier, the actress broke down in tears while claiming that she has been facing both mental and physical trauma, stating that her life has been under constant threat since 2018.

She appeared visibly shaken and said the harassment was happening in her own home.

Dutta added that the ongoing turmoil led her to seek assistance from the police.

On Wednesday, she posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the caption, “Har Har Mahadev!!”

In the image, the ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ star is seen calmly looking into the camera while striking a poised stance. She followed up the photo with a video of herself.

Details Her Ordeal in Earlier Post

A day earlier, Dutta had shared a tearful video in which she said, “Guys, I’m being harassed in my own home. I’m being harassed in my own home. I just called the cops. I got worried and called the police. The police came.”

She continued, “They asked me to come to the police station to launch a proper complaint. I’m probably going to go tomorrow or the day after. I’m not well. I’ve been harassed so much in the last 4-5 years that my health has deteriorated. I’m not able to do any work. My house is a mess. I can’t even hire maids because they planted maids in my house.”

In the caption accompanying the video, she wrote, “I’m sick and tired of this harassment!! It’s been going on since 2018 #metoo Aaj fed up hokar maine police ko call kiya Please someone help me! Do something before it’s too late.”

Tanushree Dutta first came into the national spotlight in 2008 when she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Please’.

A decade later, in 2018, she reiterated her allegations, helping catalyse India’s #MeToo movement and sparking a wider debate about harassment in the entertainment industry.
