Salman Khan receives threat via E-mail
Bhai Jaan of Bollywood aka Salman Khan’s assistant received an e-mail from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Lawrence Bishnoi is behind the bars in Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case. He was interviewed by a news channel less than a week ago. In the interview as well, he stated that the only motive of his life was to “Kill Salman Khan” also, that he would “break Salman Khan’s ego”. The reason is, the actor is accused of hunting a Blackbuck which is sacred to the Bishnoi Community.
The threat…
The email was sent to Salman’s PA, which was actually read by a director friend, Prashant Gunjalkar while he was on a visit to the actor’s office. The email in Hindi said, “Goldy Bhai (Goldy Brar) wants to talk to your boss, Salman. He might have watched the interview (of Lawrence Bishnoi) and if not yet, he must watch it. Tell me, if you want to close the matter or wish to have a meeting face-to-face. We have informed you well in time, next time you will get a shock”
It is not the first time that the Khan has received a threat from the gangster. His father, Salim Khan too got the same earlier through a letter outside their Mumbai home near the Bandra Bandstand promenade, where he goes for his routine morning jog. The note had read, “Moosewala jaisa kar doonga (You will suffer the same fate as Moosewala)” referring to the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.
Bishnoi is constantly asking Bhai Jaan to apologize to their deity at their community temple. In the interview, he also said, “There is anger in my mind for him since childhood. Will break his ego sooner or later. He should come to our deity’s temple and apologize. If our society forgives, then I will not say anything.”
Actions on Salman’s safety
As soon as the email was received, an FIR was lodged against Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and Mohit Garg (sender of the mail). The Bandra Police has registered the case under sections 506(2),120(b) & 34 of IPC. Following this, Mumbai Police tightened the security outside the actor’s house. Salman receives Y category security, as he is threatened by the Bishnoi gang.
Also, the e-cell of the Mumbai Police is at work. A police officer of the Bandra police station said, “The cyber team is collecting details of the internet protocol (IP) address and the server to track the person who sent the threat mail.” With this, they might be able to track the sender.
