Wipro will require all employees to work from the office three days a week or more from November 15. The action is in response to a similar request for staff members to return to work made by competitors Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys. Nonetheless, there are differences in the amount of days that all three firms have mandated.
The email was sent by Saurabh Govil, the chief human resources officer at Wipro.
“Starting November 15, all employees must be present at their assigned office location for at least three days each week. This change aims to enhance teamwork, facilitate face-to-face interactions, and strengthen Wipro’s culture,” email says.
“We strongly believe that in-person interactions are critical to the professional development of our talent as well as to our success in driving ongoing innovation for clients,” the email added
Employees at Wipro may also suffer consequences beginning on January 7, 2024, if they fail to show up for work. The action could involve disciplinary action, a decline in performance and quality of work, and a loss of credibility and confidence with managers.

The organisation intends to modify the hybrid work policy in accordance with national, regional, and local laws and agreements.
TCS asked staff members to begin working five days a week from the office in an email sent to them last month. According to reports, Infosys also asked staff members to work from the office at least ten days a month in a similar email. According to rumors, staff at Capgemini and LTIMindtree have also begun to be asked to work from the office on all or at least half of the working days each week.
