Adani Group Director Pranav Adani on Thursday highlighted Maharashtra’s economic progress and reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the state’s development.
Speaking at the launch of ‘Invest Maharashtra’, Pranav Adani described the initiative as an institutional milestone aimed at turning the vision of Viksit Maharashtra into reality. He said Maharashtra would play an important role in India’s efforts to become the world’s third-largest economy.
Pranav Adani described Mumbai as India’s financial engine and credited the state’s political leadership, administrators and officials with improving the ease of doing business.
The Adani Group’s partnership with Maharashtra, he said, spans decades, with investment commitments of more than Rs 6 lakh crore across energy, aviation and aero-districts, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification.
According to Pranav Adani, the company has already completed or is executing projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore.
The group manages Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and is developing Navi Mumbai International Airport, which will likely handle more than 90 million passengers annually.
Through Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited, the group supplies power to more than 3 million homes and establishments. More than 60 per cent of the electricity supplied comes from renewable sources.
Pranav Adani highlighted the 1,000 MW HVDC transmission link bringing clean power into Mumbai, along with pumped-storage hydro projects being developed across Maharashtra.
On the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, Pranav Adani said the group follows a people-first approach focused on modern housing, protection of micro-enterprises and community-led redevelopment.
Reaffirming the Adani Group’s commitment to Maharashtra, Pranav Adani said the group would continue working with the state government and its people, adding, “When Maharashtra wins, India wins.”
