Scrap disposal brings in Rs 10.9 crore for Mines Ministry

The mining ministry announced on Wednesday that it had collected Rs 10.9 crore from scrap disposal.

The ministry stated in a special drive that it turned physical files scanned during the previous two campaigns into e-files.

“During the campaign, approximately 11,033 scanned files have been uploaded as e-files in e-office”, the mining ministry stated in a statement.

According to the ministry, it has freed up 89,482 square feet of space, which has been transformed into a volleyball court and a badminton court for employees.
