Following over six lakh applications in Round 1, the latest round offers more than one lakh internship opportunities across 730 districts in leading companies nationwide.
Targeting individuals aged 21 to 24 who are not currently enrolled in full-time academic programs or employment, the scheme provides a platform to begin their professional journey.
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 along with a one-time financial assistance of Rs 6,000.
More than 300 top companies across sectors such as Oil, Gas and Energy, Banking and Financial Services, Travel and Hospitality, Automotive, Metals & Mining, Manufacturing & Industrial, and FMCG have partnered to provide practical experience, networking opportunities, and skill enhancement for Indian youth.
Eligible candidates can select internships based on their preferred district, state, sector, and area, with customizable location filters.
Each applicant can apply for up to three internships within the specified deadline.
Officials are organizing over 70 IEC events across districts with maximum internship availability, covering colleges, universities, ITIs, and Rozgar Melas, while running national digital campaigns through multiple platforms and influencers.
The PM Internship Scheme aims to tap into the potential of India’s youth by offering 12-month paid internships in leading firms, combining structured training with at least six months of practical experience to enhance employability.
