
Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani on Thursday denounced the 22 April terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, calling it ‘barbaric’.
Speaking on behalf of the entire Reliance family, Ambani extended ‘heartfelt condolences’ to the families of the 26 people killed and wished a ‘speedy and full recovery’ to the injured.
Reliance Foundation Hospital Pledges Free Care
Ambani announced that Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai will provide free medical treatment to all victims of the attack.
“Our hospital will offer the best possible care at no cost,” he said.
Firm Stand Against Terrorism
Calling terrorism ‘an enemy of humanity’, Ambani urged that it ‘must not be supported by anyone in any manner’.
He pledged Reliance’s full support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India and “the entire country in the decisive battle against the menace of terrorism.”
Pahalgam Attack Terror
Terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in the Pahalgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, injuring several civilians. Authorities immediately rushed the injured to a local hospital in Pahalgam.
However, the state government has not yet issued an official statement on casualties or the extent of injuries.
PM Modi Orders Swift Action And On-Ground Assessment
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Amit Shah following the attack and directed him to take all necessary steps in response.
He also instructed Shah to personally visit the attack site in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district to assess the situation.
