IBM, a multinational technology company based in the United States signed three pacts with the IT Ministry on Wednesday in the fields of semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, and quantum computing.
The action is significant because India is taking substantial moves to establish itself as a leader in cutting-edge new technology.
The three Memorandums of understanding were inked in the field of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
At a press conference, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, stated, “These are technologies that will shape the future of tech, represent tremendous opportunities for academic, startup and innovation ecosystem, as also the broader opportunity of creating global standard talent”.
