On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day, by making a special doodle, Google has given a message of greetings to the countrymen. The Republic Day doodle has been created by guest artist Parth Kothekar from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Kothekar said it took him four days, and six hours a day, to complete the artwork. “I had goosebumps and read and reread the email multiple times as I couldn’t believe it (selection of illustration for doodle). I never thought I would get such an opportunity. I wished to present India’s diversity in a single artwork so that the viewer can get a glimpse of the complexity of the nation,” he added.
The special thing about this doodle is that it has been made by cutting paper by hand. In this, the tableau to be held on the Kartavya Path of the country’s capital Delhi has been depicted.
Various glimpses of the Republic Day parade have been seen in today’s special Google Doodle. It shows the Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, CRPF marching contingent, and motorcyclist squad.
Google has shown a beautiful image of India in a special doodle made on Republic Day. Horsemen, marching CRPF, and India’s national bird peacock are also visible in this paper art. Google has tried to show the culture and tradition of India on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day through Doodle.
India adopted the constitution on this day in 1950. Along with this, it had declared itself a sovereign, democratic and republican state. India gained independence from the British Empire in the year 1947 after which it drafted its constitution. It took two years for the Constituent Assembly of India to discuss, revise and approve the constitution document and then adopt it. India became the country with the longest written constitution.
