Gautam Adani Unveils Ambitious Blueprint: Proposes ₹7 Trillion Investment in…

Following a record-breaking week for his company on the stock market, multibillionaire Gautam Adani revealed that the Adani Group will be investing ₹7 lakh crore across several industries to position his company as the nation’s leader in infrastructure development.

Chairman of the Adani Group Gautam Adani used social media platform X to go into great detail about his company’s new green initiative, which involves investments in several verticals of the apples-to-airports conglomerate.

As stated in Adani Energy Solutions’ stock exchange filings, “The portfolio recently announced its plan to invest over ₹7 lakh crore over the next 10 years to consolidate its preeminent position as the largest infrastructure player in India.”

Adani intends to increase the company’s environmental consciousness by investing ₹7 lakh crore in different areas of the multibillion-dollar business’s green initiative. At the moment, it is directing its port operations toward an environmental campaign.

“We will set a national benchmark by 2025 as the only carbon-neutral port operations and achieve net zero for APSEZ by 2040,” stated Gautam Adani on X. We are electrifying all cranes as part of our climate-friendly transformation, replacing all internal transfer vehicles (ITVs) that run on diesel with battery-powered models, and adding an extra 1000 MW of captive renewable capacity.”

With ports on both the east and west coasts, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is the biggest seaport operator in the country.

With a ₹7 lakh crore investment, how is Adani Group going green?

Among other things, Gautam Adani stated that his company will be growing its renewable energy division.

“We are committed to environmental protection, as evidenced by our growing mangrove plantations, which will cover an impressive 5000 hectares by FY 25. This demonstrates our continued commitment to climate stewardship and is just one more step towards a greener future,” he stated.

Adani also revealed the designs for “the world’s largest green energy park,” which his company is building in Gujarat’s Kutch deserts.

This enormous undertaking, which spans 726 square kilometres in the difficult Rann desert, is visible even from space. Over 20 million homes will be powered by our 30GW of electricity. Additionally, we are developing one of the world’s largest and most integrated renewable energy manufacturing ecosystems for solar and wind power in our Karmabhoomi Mundra, which is only 150 kilometres away,” the businessman stated.
