Mohit Burman and Gaurav Burman
In the ongoing Mahadev app betting scandal, allegations have been levied against Dabur family members Mohit Burman and Gaurav Burman. However, the Dabur group staunchly refutes any wrongdoing, emphasizing that the FIR copy obtained through media channels contains no accusations against the Burmans. The company vehemently asserts its lack of involvement in the case and dispels rumors circulating about a SEBI investigation, labeling such reports as baseless.
Dabur’s official statement challenges the credibility of media reports, particularly countering earlier assertions of a staggering ₹20,000 crore scam. This purported scam led to Mumbai Police filing an FIR against the Mahadev app’s associate company, Khiladi app’s promoter, implicating industrialists Mohit and Gaurav Burman, alongside 31 others.
Turning to the legal proceedings, the Enforcement Directorate has identified 14 individuals in connection with the charges. This list includes app promoters Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, as well as figures such as Vikas Chhapariya, Chandrabhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, Anil Dammani, Sunil Dammani, Vishal Ahuja, and Dheeraj Ahuja. Adding a cinematic twist, Bollywood luminaries Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi have been summoned for questioning in relation to this complex and high-profile case. The unfolding events promise a thorough examination of the allegations, involving key players from both the corporate and entertainment spheres.
