Ready to release seventy hostages in exchange for a five-day truce, says Hamas

The armed wing of the Palestinian group Hamas stated on Monday that it has told Qatari mediators that it is willing to free up to 70 women and children detained in Gaza in exchange for a five-day truce.

“The truce should include a complete ceasefire as well as allowing aid and humanitarian relief everywhere in the Gaza Strip”, Abu Ubaida, spokesman for Hamas’ armed wing, Alqassam Brigades, said in a recorded audio released on the group’s Telegram channel.

He went on to accuse Israel of procrastinating and evading the deal’s price.
