The commerce ministry plans to develop an online portal in the next 2-3 months to deliver all important information, including customs duty details, to aspiring exporters.
Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), stated that the webpage will serve as a one-stop shop for all export-related information.
The ‘Trade Connect ePlatform’ will help new and aspiring exporters by providing information on various regulations for accessing markets, sectors, and export trends, as well as quick access to benefits under free trade agreements.
Furthermore, it will provide access to sector-specific events as well as the ability to direct trade-related inquiries to officials in the Government of India and connected entities for professional guidance.
