Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, expressed his commitment on Friday towards establishing a robust and enduring collaboration with Tanzania.
This initiative aims to encompass various sectors critical to Tanzania’s development, including ports, renewable energy, and airports.
In a significant development, Gautam Adani met with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan to discuss bilateral ties and strategic cooperation.
Adani described the meeting as an honor, highlighting President Hassan’s insightful vision for Africa’s future.

Adani Group aims to leverage its expertise across diverse infrastructure sectors to support Tanzania in building world-class facilities.
This includes ports, renewable energy solutions, airports, as well as transmission, distribution, and rail networks.

Last month, Adani International Ports Holdings, a subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ), signed a pivotal 30-year concession agreement with the Tanzania Ports Authority.
Meanwhile, this agreement enables Adani to operate and manage Container Terminal 2 (CT2) at Dar es Salaam Port, a crucial gateway port in East Africa with extensive connectivity via road and rail networks.
Karan Adani, Managing Director of APSEZ, underscored the strategic significance of this move, aligning with APSEZ’s global expansion ambitions.
He however affirmed that enhancing operational efficiency at Dar es Salaam Port will play a pivotal role in boosting regional trade and connectivity.
The Adani Group’s proactive engagement with Tanzania marks a milestone in fostering economic cooperation and infrastructure development.
With a clear focus on sustainable growth, the partnership aims to set new benchmarks in Africa’s infrastructure landscape while bolstering bilateral relations between India and Tanzania.
