Steve Wozniak
Steve Wozniak, the Apple co-founder, was hospitalized in Mexico City on Wednesday owing to a possible stroke.
On Wednesday afternoon, the 73-year-old scientist and tech entrepreneur was due to attend a World Business Forum event in the Mexico capital’s Santa Fe neighborhood. Wozniak was scheduled to talk at 4:20 p.m. local time at the conference.
The event organizers did not react promptly to a request for comment.
Wozniak and his famous business partner Steve Jobs, the famed investor and longtime Apple CEO who died in 2011, formed the embryonic Apple Computer company in 1976.
Their business pioneered personal computing and grew to become the world’s most valuable company, famed for the design and functionality of a variety of consumer devices, including laptop and desktop computers, as well as the iPhone mobile phone.
