India strongly hit back to Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar’s Kashmir remark at the United Nations General Assembly by terming Pakistan’s internal conditions as World’s worst human rights records. In his address to the United Nations General Assembly Haq Kakar raised the Kashmir issue.
Reacting to Haq Kakar’s comments the First Secretary at United Nations for the Second Committee of UNGA, Petal Gehlot said Pakistan’s internal conditions are in a mess with churches being burnt down, the minorities ( Christians, Hindus and Sikhs ) are being targetted continuously apart from infiltrating terrorists into the geographical areas of India.

The Indian diplomat, in her statement, listed three things where Pakistan should give priority to with an immediate effect. Which are they should resist themselves from infiltrating terrorists through the borders, they should not forcibly occupy the Indian geographical areas and also the minorities should be given adequate respect.

“These areas the Pakistan administration should give importance to before raising Kashmir issue which is an integral part of India,” Gehlot said in her statement. She also raised the issues where the minorities are being forced to convert themselves into Islam. Terming these issues as World’s ‘worst’ human rights issues Gehlot urged Pakistan to settle these things first and only then comment upon Kashmir.
