Nifty rose over 33 points to a new lifetime high of 20,103, while Sensex advanced for the tenth straight session on Thursday, aided by late-day buying in oil & gas, metal, and commodities stocks amid a broadly robust trend in global equities.
The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 52.01 points or 0.08 percent to close at 67,519 after bouncing between gains and losses throughout the session. During the session, it gained 304.06 points or 0.45 percent to reach an all-time intra-day high of 67,771.05.
The BSE index has risen 2,687.59 points or 4.14 percent, in the last ten sessions.
The Nifty gained 33.10 points or 0.16 percent to close at its all-time closing high of 20,103.10. It gained 97.65 points or 0.48 percent to achieve a lifetime intra-day high of 20,167.65.

The top gainer on the Sensex chart was Mahindra & Mahindra, which rose 2.56 percent, followed by Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Nestle, Power Grid, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement and L&T.
Asian Paints, ITC, Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Motors, on the other hand, were among the laggards.
Brent crude jumped 0.56 percent to USD 92.39 per barrel.
In Asian markets, Seoul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong all closed in positive territory.
European shares were generally trading in the green.
On Wednesday, the US markets ended on a mixed note.
