Russia informed Brazil’s aviation authority on Tuesday that it will not begin an inquiry into the jet accident that killed Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin under international regulations for the time being.

Prigozhin, two of his Wagner Group’s senior lieutenants, and four bodyguards were among ten persons killed when the Brazilian-made Embraer plane crashed north of Moscow last week.

Yevgeny Prigozhin died two months to the day after conducting a brief mutiny against the Russian defence system, posing the most serious challenge to President Vladimir Putin’s leadership since he took to power in 1999.
