The Congress said on Wednesday that it will run for all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in the 2019 elections without forming an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This is a blow for the I.N.D.I.a union of the alliance in the national capital.
The development follows a meeting between the leaders of the Congress and its Delhi branch that was presided over by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and held at the party’s headquarters.
Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal, Chaudhary Anil Kumar, Deepak Babaria, Alka Lamba, Haroon Yusuf, Ajay Maken, and other individuals also attended the meeting.
Running for all 7 seats
The three-hour meeting included Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, and Deepak Babaria, according to Congress activist Alka Lamba. Rahul visits important locations in Delhi
According to sources, Rahul Gandhi discussed his recent trips to Azadpur Mandi, Mukherjee Nagar, the Jama Masjid, the Delgi University, the Okhla Industrial Area, and other locations. They said that Rahul Gandhi instructed party officials that in each of the seven seats up for election in the most recent Lok Sabha.

The Delhi Unit of Congress rejects the AAP
According to sources, the Delhi unit has told the party leadership not to form an alliance with AAP in the national capital for the Lok Sabha elections, while the party leadership has told the Delhi leaders to get ready for all seven Lok Sabha seats.
In the meantime, Kharge tweeted, “A discussion was conducted with the leaders of Delhi Congress today regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Our top aim is to revitalize the Delhi Congress, and all leaders and workers must get involved. Our fight for Delhi’s people has already resulted in the prosperity and happiness of Delhi.

“A gathering of Delhi Congress leaders was held under the direction of Khargeji. Rahul Gandhi wrote on Facebook, “Congress is committed to taking every action to strengthen the voice of the people and progress of Delhi.

According to the in-charge Deepak Babaria, there was no discussion of an alliance with the AAP at the meeting. To prepare for the Lok Sabha elections, all Delhi-related concerns were, nevertheless, considered. He claimed that all seven of the parliamentary seats have requested that preparations begin.
The Delhi leaders have been instructed by the Congress leadership to begin organizing for the Lok Sabha elections on each of the seven seats.

I.N.D.I. reacted to rumours that the Congress would run for office in Delhi on each of the seven Lok Sabha seats.Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), a member of the coalition, claimed to have seen media reporting on this.
“There is no purpose in attending the I.N.D.I. if Congress has decided to go it alone in Delhi next year.a gathering for their alliance. The party’s senior command will, however, make the final choice, according to the party.
