Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to lead India in commemorating its 77th Independence Day today, August 15, 2023, from the historic Red Fort in Delhi. This event will signify the culmination of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, which were launched by the Prime Minister in 2021. This year, approximately 1,800 distinguished guests from various sectors of society have received invitations to observe the Independence Day ceremony at Delhi’s Red Fort.
This esteemed guest list encompasses more than 400 Sarpanches from over 660 vibrant villages, 250 participants from the Farmer Producer Organisations scheme, 50 representatives each from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Additionally, there will be 50 Shram Yogis (construction workers) associated with the Central Vista Project, which includes the New Parliament Building. The assembly will also include 50 Khadi workers, contributors to border road construction, individuals involved in creating the Amrit Sarovar and the Har Ghar Jal Yojana. Lastly, 50 primary school teachers, nurses, and fishermen will also be part of this special occasion.
