Two brothers hailing from Jalandhar in Punjab fell victim to a brutal murder in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district, allegedly stemming from a monetary dispute, as per authorities on Friday.

The tragic incident unfolded in Nalagarh on a Thursday evening, resulting in the loss of the lives of Varun and Kunal, both employed as electricians within the district.

Lokesh, a maternal uncle of the deceased, relayed to the police that Gaurav Gill, a resident of Nakodar in Punjab, had summoned his nephews to discuss an ongoing financial disagreement.

When Varun and Kunal declined Gill’s request to meet him in Nakodar, they were instructed to gather at a designated location on the Nalagarh-Ramshehar road. Unfortunately, upon their arrival, they were subjected to a horrifying attack by three individuals riding a motorcycle, wielding sharp-edged weapons, according to a police spokesperson.

The aftermath of this vicious assault left the two brothers incapacitated on the road. Authorities promptly rushed them to a nearby medical facility; however, the attending doctors were left with no choice but to pronounce them deceased, the spokesperson further confirmed.

In the pursuit of leads and evidence, law enforcement meticulously reviewed CCTV footage from the vicinity and established checkpoints to apprehend the culprits. The superintendent of Police in Baddi, Mohit Chawla, shared that a murder case has been officially registered, underscoring the gravity of the crime.
