Even though the Lord’s Test match between England and Australia players ended on the field on Sunday, it is still being covered by media outlets in both nations. The Australian media responded on Tuesday morning by calling Ben Stokes and his side “crybabies” after the British media on Monday made fun of the Australian squad over the contentious dismissal of Jonny Bairstow. When Ben Stokes noticed that one of the newspaper front pages had gone viral on social media, he couldn’t help but respond in a hilarious way.

Ben Stokes named CRIBABY

‘Crybabies’ was prominently displayed in the center of a photo of Stokes wearing diapers that The West Australian uploaded online. Another line from the publication stated, “Poms take whingeing to a new level with ‘cheating’ rubbish.

“That’s definitely not me; since when did I bowl with the new ball?” Stokes responded to the post.

What did Ben say?

Stokes claimed that he wouldn’t want to win a game in such a way in response to the contentious Jonny Bairstow dismissal. However, the England captain acknowledged that everything that occurred on the field complied with the regulations of the match.

If the situation had been reversed, I would have exerted greater pressure on the umpires, inquired as to whether they had called over, and given the game’s overall spirit some serious thought. Would it be how I wanted to win a game? I don’t think so,” he responded on Sunday.

Pat Cummins on Team England

Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia, believes Carey acted appropriately, particularly in light of the fact that Bairstow has previously been implicated in similar dismissals.

“You always see Jonny doing that. On the first day, he did it to Davey Warner. He did it to Steve Smith in 2019. If a batter is seen repeatedly leaving the crease, keepers frequently take this action. Thus, Kez [Carey] deserves all the credit. He realized the chance. I believe Jonny has already done it a few times. At the stumps, I rolled it. Jonny abandoned his crease. In the post-game press conference, Cummins added, “You leave the rest to the umpires.
