Academy Award-winning film RRR’s actor Ray Stevenson died in Italy at the age of 58. His representatives at Independent Talent verified the news.
More information concerning the actor’s demise is still pending.
RRR Movie tweeted, “What shocking news for all of us on the team! 💔Rest in peace, Ray Stevenson. You will stay in our hearts forever, SIR SCOTT”, through its official Twitter handle.

Stevenson garnered rave reviews for his acting as a villain in SS Rajamouli’s historical action drama thriller RRR.
The film, which also stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in prominent parts, recently received the prestigious Academy Award for best Best Original Song.
He was also well-known for his appearances as Volstagg in Marvel’s Thor trilogy and Othere in Vikings. He also provided the voice of Gar Saxon in the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars and Rebels and he was supposed to co-star Rosario Dawson in Disney’s upcoming Mandalorian spinoff Ashoka.
Stevenson, who was born on May 25, 1964, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, began his film career in the early 1990s, appearing in European TV series and telefilms. In Paul Greengrass’ 1998 drama The Theory of Flight, he co-starred with Helena Bonham Carter and Kenneth Branagh. His other notable works were Antoine Fuqua’s King Arthur (2004), Lexi Alexander’s Punisher: War Zone (2008), the Hughes Brothers’ The Book of Eli (2010), and Adam McKay’s The Other Guys (2010).
