India Target Series Win Against West Indies In Fourth T20I In Hyderabad

India will look to extend their advantage when they meet the West Indies in the fourth match of the five-game T20I series in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Leading 2-1, the hosts can secure the series with another win, while the visitors need a victory to force a decider.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has developed a reputation for high-scoring encounters, with short boundaries and favourable batting conditions.

The venue has witnessed successful T20I chases of 208 and 187, alongside several huge totals in domestic and franchise cricket.

India’s batting unit has continued to deliver, but their bowlers face pressure after struggling to defend substantial totals during the tour. The hosts will hope the recently laid surface offers enough assistance to restrict the visitors.

Dew could influence the contest during the second innings, making the toss an important factor. With no rain forecast, conditions are expected to allow an uninterrupted match.

Abhishek Sharma’s potential battle with West Indies off-spinner Roston Chase will attract attention. Chase proved influential in Ranchi, dismissing Abhishek, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer.

India may retain the combination that worked in Indore, including an additional fast bowler instead of wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

The West Indies, meanwhile, will monitor all-rounder Romario Shepherd’s fitness after his bowling injury in Ranchi kept him out of the previous match.
