Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister Harsh Sanghavi has extended his support to the 10th Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, scheduled for November 29.
Adani Sportsline Chief Business Officer Sanjay Adesara presented Sanghavi with the event’s official jersey during a meeting ahead of the race.
The milestone edition will continue the marathon’s #Run4OurSoldiers initiative, which has brought citizens and Armed Forces personnel together to honour the service and sacrifice of India’s soldiers.
Sanghavi said the 10th edition reflected sport’s ability to unite people around a shared purpose. He praised the event’s decade-long tribute to the Armed Forces and said it was heartening to see defence personnel take part.
He also linked the marathon to Ahmedabad’s preparations for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, saying such initiatives help build a culture of fitness and community participation.
Sanghavi congratulated Adani Sportsline on the milestone and described the jersey as a symbol of the event’s journey.
Adesara thanked Sanghavi for his support and said the company looked forward to contributing to Ahmedabad’s sporting development as the city prepares for the Commonwealth Games.
The Adani Group launched the marathon in November 2017. It features full-marathon, half-marathon, 10-km and 5-km categories.
Organisers said more than 24,000 participants joined the 2025 edition in solidarity with the Armed Forces, including over 3,000 defence personnel.
The event’s signature #Run4OurSoldiers campaign also allows runners to pay tribute to soldiers. Organisers said a major portion of the proceeds supports the welfare of the Armed Forces.
