Woman Arrested In Bajhang After Video Shows Her Throwing Dog Into River

Police in Bajhang have arrested a woman after a video allegedly showing her throwing a live dog into the Seti River went viral on social media.

The arrested woman has been identified as 42-year-old Bimala Devi Rokaya, a resident of Pades in Jayaprithvi Municipality-3, according to Inspector Dipak Bista of the District Police Office, Bajhang.

Police arrested Rokaya from her residence on Thursday afternoon and took her into custody for further investigation.

Officials said they are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and gathering information to determine what happened.
