Energy and Urban Development Minister AK Sharma
SP MLC Swami Prasad Maurya had raised the demand to remove some verses from Ramcharitmanas or to ban Ramcharitmanas itself. Since then, the war of words between SP and BJP is going on.
Swami Prasad Maurya also raised this issue in the Legislative Council on Tuesday, after which AK Sharma, Minister of Energy and Urban Development in the Yogi government, advised Swami Prasad Maurya.
While giving advice to Swami Prasad Maurya regarding the rhetoric on Ramcharitmanas, AK Sharma said, “Do enmity fiercely, but let there be scope, if we ever become friends then we should not be ashamed”.
Responding to Swami Prasad Maurya’s words, AK Sharma said, “You are a very senior member, you know all the things about the legislature. No such thing should be done on such a forum which would create division in society”.
Energy and Urban Development Minister said, “If you are troubled by the strategy of PM Modi and CM Yogi, how they are walking with the people of the backward class, how they are coming along with the people of the Dalit class”.
“Come, we will compete in the field, we should not sit here and talk about dividing the society”, he added.
Swami Prasad Maurya has been making controversial statements about Ramcharitmanas for almost a month and he is demanding to remove some cattle or ban Ramcharitmanas.
Recently, while speaking in the House, CM Yogi Adityanath also gave a statement on the controversy over the cattle of Ramcharitmanas.
CM Yogi too targeted SP
CM Yogi Adityanath surrounded the SP on the Ramcharitmanas controversy and said that the words ‘Tadna’ and ‘Shudra’ written in Awadhi and Bundelkhandi were misinterpreted. Shudra means laborer and the meaning of chastisement is to see. Some people did the work of tearing Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas, if the same incident had happened with any other religion, let’s see what would have happened.
