After weeks of intense competition, the IPL 2026 season will culminate with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Gujarat Titans in the final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

A win for Bengaluru would deliver consecutive IPL championships and further strengthen their standing among the league’s elite teams. Gujarat, on the other hand, will aim to capture a second title and delight its supporters on home soil.

Bengaluru secured direct qualification for the final with a dominant performance against Gujarat in Qualifier 1. The team registered a comprehensive victory to book its place in the title clash.

After that setback, the Titans had to progress through Qualifier 2. They kept their title hopes alive with an impressive victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

RCB have built their success around an attacking philosophy at the crease. Their batting line-up, featuring Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal, Tim David, and Venkatesh Iyer, has consistently put opposition bowlers under pressure.

Gujarat’s batting strategy has been based on patience and timing. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan have repeatedly laid solid foundations before accelerating, while Jos Buttler has provided crucial support with his experience and stroke play.

The Titans enter the final with a balanced attack that combines pace and spin.

Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj have delivered important breakthroughs throughout the tournament. Rashid Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Jason Holder have added further depth to the bowling unit.

Bengaluru’s bowlers have been equally influential. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has led the attack effectively, with Josh Hazlewood, Rasikh Salam, and Krunal Pandya making key contributions during crucial moments.

Recent meetings between the two sides suggest little separates them, although Bengaluru have enjoyed the better results this season.

RCB head into the final on the back of a dominant Qualifier 1 win. Gujarat, however, can take confidence from their impressive record at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The final is expected to be decided by which team executes its plans more effectively under pressure.

Whether Bengaluru retain their title or Gujarat reclaim the trophy, IPL 2026 appears set to conclude with a memorable contest.
