Gujarat Titans have positioned themselves within touching distance of another IPL title and will now take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Sunday’s final at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Having navigated several challenges throughout the season, the franchise enters the championship match with confidence and momentum.

The campaign got off to an underwhelming start as Gujarat suffered successive defeats against the Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Those results left the team searching for answers during the opening phase of the competition.

Their fortunes changed in dramatic circumstances when they edged past the Delhi Capitals by the narrowest of margins. That hard-fought triumph provided the spark that helped transform their season.

Following their breakthrough victory, Gujarat gathered momentum with convincing wins over Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The positive results lifted them in the table and strengthened their credentials as serious title contenders.

Although defeats against the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru temporarily slowed their progress, the Titans quickly regained control. They brushed aside Chennai Super Kings before avenging their earlier defeat to Bengaluru with a commanding performance on home soil.

As the season progressed, Gujarat showcased impressive consistency. Victories over Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad highlighted the balance within the squad, with both batters and bowlers making valuable contributions.

A loss to the Kolkata Knight Riders briefly interrupted their winning run, but the Titans ended the league stage emphatically by crushing the Chennai Super Kings by 89 runs.

The result ensured they finished among the top two teams heading into the play-offs.

Qualifier 1 brought disappointment as Royal Challengers Bengaluru outplayed Gujarat in a one-sided contest.

Chasing a massive target, the Titans never managed to build momentum and suffered a comprehensive defeat.

Gujarat once again demonstrated their ability to recover from adversity. In Qualifier 2, they produced a polished all-round display against Rajasthan Royals, sealing a comfortable seven-wicket victory to secure their place in the final.

Captain Shubman Gill and opening partner Sai Sudharsan have spearheaded the batting unit, both accumulating more than 700 runs during an outstanding season.

The bowling department has also delivered consistently, with Kagiso Rabada leading the attack with 28 wickets.

Rashid Khan and Mohammed Siraj have provided crucial support, while Jason Holder has made an immediate impact since entering the side, claiming 17 wickets in just ten appearances.

The final will take place in familiar surroundings for the Gujarat Titans. They will look to make the most of home advantage and complete their journey with a second IPL crown.
