Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first. They are playing against Lucknow Super Giants in the 19th fixture of the Indian Premier League 2026.
The match is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Gill remarked that his team is entering the match with renewed confidence following their previous win. He added that maintaining consistency throughout the tournament is essential and expressed a desire to secure a more comfortable victory without leaving it until the closing stages.
The Titans have retained the same side, reflecting belief in their current form.
On the other hand, Rishabh Pant noted that the advantage of batting first and chasing has become less significant on contemporary pitches. Despite not winning the toss, he remained upbeat and stressed the importance of focusing on one match at a time.
Rishabh Pant also highlighted the team’s determination and intensity in their previous outing. He pointed out how players showed strong commitment in the field.
Pant stated that although confidence from a win is valuable, adjusting to different match conditions is equally important. Lucknow Super Giants have also decided to go ahead with an unchanged XI.
Both teams have chosen not to make any alterations to their line-ups, indicating stability within their squads.
