Salute To The Indomitable Courage: Amit Shah Marks CRPF Valour Day

Amit Shah pays tribute to CRPF personnel on Valour Day, recalling the bravery of forces during the 1965 conflict at Sardar Post.

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah commemorated CRPF Valour Day, acknowledging the contribution of Central Reserve Police Force personnel in defending the country and maintaining internal security.

Taking to X, Shah posted, “Salute to the indomitable courage and sacrifice of our brave hearts on CRPF Valor Day.”

“On this day in 1965, the fearless warriors of CRPF stood like an unbreakable wall at Sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, crushing the enemy’s advances and writing a glorious chapter of bravery in India’s history. Heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the honor and security of nation,” the post further read.

CRPF Valour Day is marked each year in tribute to the courage and sacrifice of CRPF personnel, with particular recognition of those who fought with distinction during the 1965 conflict.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Home Minister remained actively engaged in election campaigning in Assam, expressing confidence that the BJP would secure another term in office. He indicated that, if returned to power, the state government would take up key policy matters such as the Uniform Civil Code at an early stage.

During his campaign speeches, Shah criticised opposition figures, including Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee, over their positions on citizenship-related issues. He reiterated the party’s commitment to identifying illegal entrants and removing them from electoral rolls.

Shah addressed rallies in multiple locations, including Cachar and Hailakandi, urging voters to support the BJP in the ongoing Assembly elections.

Voting is taking place across all 126 constituencies in Assam, and results are likely for declaration on May 4.
