A heartbreaking incident unfolded in the Manda area of Prayagraj, where four young boys lost their lives after drowning in the Ganga River. The incident took place at Bampur Ghat, a local bathing spot frequently visited by villagers.

According to reports, a group of seven boys from Bampur village had gone to the river for a routine bath.

What began as a normal outing quickly turned tragic when two of the boys slipped into deeper waters and began struggling.

In an attempt to save their friends, the remaining boys rushed towards them. The strong currents and sudden depth of the river made the situation worse, pulling several of them further into danger.

While three boys managed to escape and reach safety, four others were unable to make it out.

Local authorities and divers were alerted immediately and launched a rescue operation. After an intensive search, the bodies of all four boys were recovered from the river.

The deceased have been identified as Kunal (13) and Nihal (10), sons of Anil Kumar; Deepak (17), son of Rajaram; and Rishabh (10), son of Kamlesh Kumar. All the victims were residents of Bampur village under the Manda police station area.

The tragic loss has, however, left the entire village in mourning. Families and locals are grieving the untimely deaths of the young boys.

Three boys were successfully rescued from the river. They have been identified as Mohit (13), son of Digvijay; Divyanshu (16), son of Kamlesh; and Aman (9), son of Krishna Kumar. Their condition is reported to be stable.

The incident has once again raised serious concerns about safety at local riverbanks, especially for children.

Authorities are expected to review safety measures at popular places to prevent such tragedies in the future.
